Today we had the 3rd Snow Day of our school year. All 3 have now happened within the last two weeks!! After a bit of maintenance cleaning and room pickup for the weekend, I started to tackle that extra bedroom that was suppose to become my craft/office room may times over.
I started hoeing out the mess. What a mess indeed. DH calls it a junk room and though I used to take offense, it most certainly was. No longer as I have made a lot of progress this afternoon. I listed about 35 books on Paperbackswap. I've been using this for a long time now to trade my paperbacks or hardcovers for others. All you pay is the Media Mail postage! Within 15 minutes of listing the books I actually had someone request one from me. Hooray!! Once I mail it and the person marks it as received, I get credit to order a book from the website for free.
I now have a sewing area and an office supply area, as well as, a loveseat/sofa bed with end table and lamp and tv. It's not quite finished but definitely have made more progress today than in years!
I am finding so much joy in Decluttering! It is so amazing how much happier I feel with rooms that have been alleviated of junk.
My grandson is here watching Elmo while his mom is off to her waitress job. She started Student Teaching in Kindergarten this week and really enjoyed this Snow Day as much as I did. Maybe better because she won't have to make it up the end of June like I.
Hope everyone has a Happy Friday and stays warm this weekend. We are going to have below 0 and teen temperatures for the next several days!!

You guys in the New England states are really getting hit with snow this year . We haven't had one snow day yet ! We'll be getting the same cold weather as you though over the next couple of days . Brrr!
Congrats on the 'new' room . I'm still working on it , but our spare bedroom has become a nursery since the advent of the grandchildren. Two and one on the way !
Have a wonderful weekend !
We had one full "storm" day here, it wasn't really for snow, but the secondary roads were really icy. So far this winter the most snow we've gotten at once is about 2", and it always changes to rain and is gone in a day or two. The kids were sent home two hours early once day a couple of weeks ago, and today I got a call that they were coming home early. However, my boys only ended up getting home 5 minutes earlier than usual. We got your storm today, and as usual we got 2", then it changed to rain. Tomorrow and the next four days are supposed to be quite cold, so everything is going to freeze. And it's really windy tonight, too.
