Another Month gone by

Happy to say I've been knitting quite a bit but only a basic dishcloth pattern. I've been making them like crazy while I watch the NHL Hockey play-offs since they are so easy I can knit them with my eyes on the tv. Our Bruins made it to the Stanley Cup playoffs and DD and her BF are huge fans. They were at Game 5 of the Bruins/Lightning Playoff 4th row from the ice. They got a hold of someone's season tickets and were sitting seven rows in front of Boston Celtics player Rajon Rondo. Pretty exciting for a small home town girl!

The job front is bleak and DH has had not even one interview. We are coming up on 4 months now. With not knowing if Obama will extend unemployment, it's going to get a bit scary. But never as scary as the many tornadoes that have been happening in the US recently. My heart goes out to those victims. I am blessed that I do not live in such an area.

DH is trying like crazy though to find something and in the mean time had to rebuild our screen porch because of water rot. Maybe that is the reason he is out of work, so he could find the damage and rebuild it. If left unfixed who knows what would have happened. The addition is 12 feet off the ground on sauna piers and attached to the house and roof of our sun room.

This past weekend we honored DD with a graduation and house warming party in one. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Education. At the same time growing, delivering, and raising my now 17 month old grandson. Also, house hunting and buying her first home with her BF.

I am off now to the gym and then work. 4 weeks left of school and then Summer can officially start for me! Happy Tuesday everyone!

Find something to be thankful for today! I am thankful for my family and that I have a job! How about you???

I'm happy that the sun was shining today , a rare thing lately. That and also that the family was over for dinner , never a dull moment with the grandkids .

Keeping good thoughts for your husbands job search , hope that someting turns up soon .As for the hockey , sorry , but I can't cheer for Boston , they did beat Montreal ;-), but really , I'd love to see the cup come home to Canada . Go Canucks !
